Are you a painter? Knitter? Jewelry designer? We want to see your talent! Submit a work of art in any medium to the Lane Libraries’ Art Contest. Submissions will be displayed for the community to see and vote for their favorites.
Contest:
- Age categories: Age 7 - 11, Teens 12 - 17 and Adults 18 - up
- Submission types: All media
- Submission dates:
- Submit an entry form (link below) between January 20 and 31.
- Bring artwork to your Lane Library location (Hamilton, Fairfield or Oxford) February 1 - 5. *We cannot guarantee a spot for submission after February 5.
- How to submit:
- Fill out the submission form to enter the contest. (You will receive a “thank you” email within 48 hours of submitting your work. If you do not receive this email, please contact Celeste Swanson at c.swanson@lanepl.org.)
- Please frame or mat art pieces created on paper.
- Items that require hanging should come equipped for that purpose.
- Please label the BACK of your art piece with your name and age category.
- Each artist can enter up to 3 pieces.
- All art submissions must follow the Lane Libraries code of conduct.
- Voting will take place by the public during each location’s opening event and will continue through Sunday, February 9.
- Winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 12.
- Prizes: The winner for each age category will win a $50 gift card from Blick Art Materials.
- Artwork Pickup: All works must be picked up from the library by Saturday, February 15.

We will kick off the voting with an opening event at each Lane location!

● Oxford - Saturday, February 8, 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
