Human Resources Manager
As defined
by its Board of Trustees, the mission of the Lane Public Library (LPL)
and its staff members is "to provide and promote library resources
to meet the educational, recreational, cultural, civic, and informational
needs of the library's service area."

Human Resources Manager

REPORTS
TO: Director FLSA:
Exempt
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains
compliance with federal, state, local, and library agency personnel
laws, policies, and guidelines
- Manages
and maintains human resources functions - hiring, training, evaluating,
changing status, and terminating personnel
- Recruits,
screens, and interviews applicants
- Administers
LPL personnel policies and procedures and benefits programs
- Consults
with supervisors in handling personnel related issues; counsels staff
- Makes
recommendations for staff development and training
- Prepares
communications, budgets, personnel records and administrative reports
- Participates
in system-wide planning, decision-making, and evaluating as a member
of Council
- Meets
frequently with staff and maintains an atmosphere of open communications
- Shares
information with the system on trends and new developments in Human
Resources
- Chairs
and serves on various teams and committees

REQUIRED
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's
degree in human resources or related field
- Demonstrated
human resources, administrative, budgetary, supervisory, and leadership
experience
OTHER
REQUIREMENTS:
- Works
flexible schedule, which includes evenings and weekends
- Assists
other agencies/departments as needed
Salary:
$42,027 - $52,542 annually, 37.5 hour work week with excellent benefits.
Four weeks paid vacation after one full year of service. Employer paid
sick leave, life, vision and short-term disability insurance. Health and
dental insurance 80% employer paid. Ohio Public Employee Retirement System
& deferred compensation option. Eleven paid holidays.
