Middletown Campus of Miami University or Miami University Middletown. In the 1960s, Miami established new campuses in Middletown and Hamilton. On a tract provided by the Armco Steel Corp., ground was broken Jan. 28, 1965, for the Middletown Campus. Funding included a million dollars each from state and federal government, plus $1.59 million raised within the community. The institution was dedicated Sept. 5, 1966.
